Description
The OXE800DSE is a highly integrated device for network attached storage products. Optimized for consumer applications, the OXE800DSE integrates an Ethernet MAC, three USB host ports and dual SATA host controllers and requires a minimal number of external components thereby providing OEMS with the right balance between performance and cost of ownership.
To ensure that data is always protected and secure, the OXE800DSE includes both a hardware RAID engine and a high speed encryption engine. The RAID engine supports disk striping (RAID0), disk mirroring (RAID1) and disk spanning, while the encryption engine supports real-time encryption to the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
Based around the world-renowned ARM9 processor, the OXE800DSE runs the Linux OS to ensure development of customer specific features and applications is both simple and rapid. In addition Oxford provides a comprehensive support package including evaluation boards, software development kit as well as configuration and production utilities to minimize time to market.
