Features

  • Single-chip controller replaces two-chip solution, reducing system cost , board space and power consumption
  • Single 3.3V power supply, flexible I/O voltage of 2.5V to 3.3 V (LVCMOS/TTL) to interface to a wide range of MCUs
  • 16-bit memory mapped interface can gluelessly interface to most popular microprocessors and DSPs
  • Low power operation, suitable for mobile applications:
  • Integrated on-chip charge pump supports up to 100mA of current, enabling support for a broad range of USB devices
  • Memory mapped interface can gluelessly interface to the system bus of most popular microprocessors, RISC, CISC, and DSPs including but not limited to x86, Intel XScale and StrongARM, ARM7, ARM9, Motorola PowerPC, ColdFire and Dragonball.
  • Small footprint packaging in 84-ball TF-BGA and 100-pin LQFP packages for big board space saving.

Description

The Oxford Semiconductor OU121HP is a single-chip full-speed host, high-speed peripheral and On-the-Go (OTG) controller enabling embedded systems to operate as both USB host and peripheral. This dramatically expands the degree of interconnectivity and extends the applicability of USB into many areas, such as mobile communications, consumer electronics and printer applications. The combination of the OXU121HP’s high-speed peripheral and full-speed host controller enables users to perform high speed USB data transfer for peripheral connectivity when connected to a host device, while operating at full speed in host mode operation to maximize system battery life in a mobile environment.
